Quality Control Specialist/Document Control Specialist

Reports To: Quality Manager

Laser Light Technologies is a contract manufacturer specialized in laser-based manufacturing for medical device, life science, and microelectronics industries. Laser Light is seeking a Quality Control Specialist/Document Control Specialist to join our Quality Department. This position ensures that all documents that are used on the production floor and in daily operations are properly maintained and controlled per ISO standards. Performs process audits as directed to ensure that procedures are followed and to make recommendations for improvement to management.


  • Working with engineers, technicians and managers to prepare technical documentation will include but not limited to work instructions, operating procedures, forms, labels etc
  • Support production needs by ensuring documents are available at the point of use
  • Ensure documents used are of correct revisions and control the distribution
  • Create new forms and edit existing ones in Microsoft word as directed by the supervisor
  • Create and modify Microsoft Excel spreadsheets for meeting different needs
  • Prepare quality documentation for customers like CoC (certificate of conformance), Inspection data and other related documents
  • Ensure training records of employees are maintained
  • Support ISO and Customer audits by providing the most recent completed documents
  • Perform incoming inspection of products purchased by Laser Light and products supplied by Customers
  • Maintain and store vendor certificates, and update logs
  • Answer front desk phone if necessary


  • Proficiency in using MS office platforms like Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to create, modify spreadsheets with formulas
  • Ability to format documents/labels to the specific needs of each customers
  • Intermediate to advanced mathematical ability
  • Good computer and typing skills
  • Ability to use office equipment like printers and scanners
  • Prior experience working with ERP/MRP and eQMS systems
  • Ability to interact with customers, and send professional email communications
  • Must be ready to multi task and work under pressure


  • Associate or Bachelor degree in any Technical/Non-Technical fields like Accounting, Project Management, English, Mathematics or any related fields
  • High School diploma or GED with more than 3 years of experience in a similar role
